A Relic from the Sands of Normandy

This lighter is believed to feature the emblem of the U.S. Marine Corps, though its origins remain a mystery. Rusted and worn, it was a shadow of its former self. But thanks to the meticulous restoration process, this artifact has been brought back to life.
The Restoration Process: From Rust to Radiance
The restoration began with a detailed cleaning of the emblem. The intricacies of the design became more evident with each careful stroke, revealing the pride of craftsmanship from decades past. The emblem, possibly a nod to the U.S. Marines, served as a reminder of the bravery of the soldiers who stormed Normandy’s beaches.

The emblem received special attention. Cleaned with vinegar, it regained its former glory and was reattached with precision. Each small part of the lighter was reassembled, creating a striking juxtaposition of old and new.
