From Rusty Relic to Off-Road Beast

Restoring the Frame and Engine
The project began with a deep cleaning. The truck had accumulated years of dirt, grime, and rust. The body was pressure-washed to remove debris, revealing areas needing serious attention. The front end was missing key components, including the bumper, grille, and headlights.
Next, the engine received a major overhaul. The original motor was removed, cleaned, and upgraded. A Toyota 3.4L V6 engine was installed, replacing the old, underpowered unit.
The wiring was redone, and high-performance components like an upgraded air intake and exhaust system were added. Once complete, the engine bay looked as good as new.
Bodywork and Paint Transformation
The truck’s body had seen better days. Large patches of rust, faded paint, and body dents were everywhere. To fix this, the old paint was stripped down, dents were smoothed out, and rusted areas were treated. The builder carefully applied body filler and sanded it down to ensure a smooth finish before painting.
A major visual upgrade came in the form of a tough, military-style green paint job. This textured coating not only looked rugged but also provided extra durability against scratches and weather damage. With fresh paint and a fully restored exterior, the truck started to look brand new.
Interior and Final Touches
Inside, the truck was completely redone. The old, worn-out interior was stripped, and new carpeting, seats, and panels were installed. The builder chose a dark green and black color scheme to match the exterior.
The final touches included installing off-road tires, a custom bumper, and black alloy wheels. These upgrades not only improved the truck’s appearance but also enhanced its off-road capabilities. With the new suspension, engine, and rugged look, the Toyota Pickup was finally ready to hit the trails.
